Callaham Bridge for my Strat

I got the bridge assembly and yesterday finally installed it.

I must say, the difference is overwhelming, my Strat comes to life! 8)

I was wondering about the Callaham block, my bridge is gold plated so I don't want to change that hence the block thought.
Anybody know if the block does what it says on the tin?

And Max is another in a long line of believers, as I have long been, regarding Callaham's Strat bridges/blocks! :D

You know, I consider myself a fellow who's able to discern between hype and reality...I mean, I know blatant sales hyperbole when I see it. Initially, I was skeptical about the raves regarding Bill Callaham's steel inertia blocks; now, I have Callaham's in all of my vibratoed guitars, because I am a true believer. Bill's blocks do make a marked difference in the tone and sustain. The blocks--as well as Callaham's full vibrato assemblies--work so well and make your guitar sound so good, it's scary.

Callaham's hardware is about as top-notch as it gets, and I heartily recommend it to anyone and everyone. I'd love to try out Bill's guitars.

Yeah, I'd say it made a difference in the strats I've put it in.

Have you guys seen the latest block "innovation" yet? Michael DeTemple has come out with a titanium block that is ultra light (he claims they take a quarter pound off the average block weight). Downside is that they cost more than an entire Squire strat!

Yes, I've seen the ads, but I still don't know what to make of it all. On the face of it, it seems intriguing. I'd love to hear a report from someone who's bought one or at least played a guitar with DeTemple's titanium vibrato inertia block installed. I haven't found anything relating to it on Harmony Central's reviews yet.

Thanks guys, if you say the block does what it's supposed to do, that's good enough for me, I'll get one.
As far as the lightweight one is concerned, unless you have a really heavy guitar it just doesn't seem worth the extra to me. The Callaham obviously improves the tone, how much better can it get? I don't like my guitar to be featherweight anyway, I like to "feel" it when I'm playing it.
