Ebay rant...Annoying guy bugging me!!

Just ran an auction and have been getting a non-bidder pestering the heck outta me to sell to him at HIS price. Contacted me at the beginning of the auction to run a Buy-It-Now and shut it down. Then has been been trying to negotiate a price post-auction (item didn't sell). At one point, I acquiesced and gave him a price 3.00 above what he wanted to pay (based on an exchange rate.) I gave him instructions on how to pay and offered free insurance (no Paypal..M/O only as per my aution instructions). Then we wants haggle over the 3.00 difference and keeps trying to get me accept his wish to pay with Paypal. At this point I replied and said that I am not interested (basically because he's getting annoying and I don't want to deal with the guy). He then sends another e-mail begging for me to sell him the amp for 10 bucks more than originally he wanted. I am not replying to the guy. I relisted at a lower price and will fish for committed buyer. I must mention that this guy also sent me a list of recently finalized auctions for the item showing a precedent for the end price (basically for the amout he wanted to pay). But based on how much he annoyed me, I will gladly pay the re-listing fee and find a buyer who can follow my instructions without hounding the bejesus outta me!!! AHHHAHHAHAHAHA!!!!

FWIW..Here's the auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...e=STRK:MESE:IT

I think I'd block his e-mail address and block him from bidding on your auctions if he can't take a hint!

I would tell the folks at eBay...

This individual has violated a couple of eBay rules:

1) Trying to buy an item outside of eBay.
2) Harrassing a fellow eBay-er.

Email the folks at eBay and let them worry about this guy. It may not be his first, and could result in his getting kicked off.

It's irritating but you handled it right.

I ebay alot, and ocassionally this kind of thing will occur. I reply politely for a couple of times and then ignore them. I actually had one guy call me while the auction was running (no reserve) and was trying to bargain with me on the end price!

No big deal, overall I like ebay, but with such a big market you are bound to run into some undesireables.

He's been blocked...

from bidding and I've notified Ebay there was a problem. Just waiting on their response. I wasn't going to notify them, but I figured it is only fair he is sanctioned or warned for acting the way he has.
