Bloodthirsty Lovers

Hey folks, just got up the new site for one of my bands. You can stream the record. There's even some Tele in there.

Enjoyed it very much, but...

I wish I had known you were in Northampton, MA last week! The Iron Horse is a 20 minute walk from my house! Really sorry I missed you.
It was nice to hear something way out of the box for a change of pace, and hear a Tele being used in a very different format. To me it sounded a bit like ELO, although I could certainly hear Rundgren in there.
What sort of recording techniques were used? Did you do this in a studio?

The drums for 4 songs were cut in a studio, everything else was done at home.
Yeah N'Hampton was the 1st show of that tour. That was the first time I'd been there since prolly 98 or so. I wish they wouldn't do two shows/houses in a night. We had to load in as the crowd for the 1st show was leaving around 9:30, and then the sound man was like "uhhh, you guys need to start like 10 minutes ago"
Sigh
Some things never change!

Glad you dig the music!

I've heard similiar complaints

Unfortunately, the Iron Horse and the two other main venues in town Pearl Street, and the Calvin Theatre are all owned by the same person. In short a monopoly on music presented. Granted, there is a wide range of music being offered, but I think it sometimes suffers as a result. Certainly it's near impossible for local talent to get a venue at any of the places.
