Bonnie Raitt and me (fantasy content)

I've had a crush on this woman since high school.

What about musicians makes them so hot?

Man, you and me both. I almost had a chance to produce her on a song I'd written for a commercial project way back in the mid-80s, but the deal fell through at the last minute, a major disappointment. :-( I'm still hoping she'll call me one of these daze to come play on her next tour – but seeing as how we've never met, I'm not holding my breath. :-\

Anyway, the line forms here. ;-) CS

ah heck, Bonnie came on to ME

NOLA, on the riverboat waiting for Little Feat to play (first gig in many years). There musta been something in the beer, I became discumbobulated and wound up trying to find the men's room on a lower deck (clearly marked DO NOT ENTER and prolly PRIVATE). Opened up a the last door and there was the lovely Miss R and entourage
And when I explained why I was there she says, get this..
"There ain't no Men's room down here honey..."
Yeah, right Bonnie, poor girl was obviously infatuated.
I waited and let her security folks lead me back upstairs so she didn't attack me.
I've avoided talking to her again, don't want her to feel too uncomfortable.

two more who whisper in my ear

alas, even after they're gone.

Nina Simone. Wow. Woman.

Karen Carpenter. That voice, that voice ...

PS. Bob Mc, you were a real gentleman to let her down easy like that.

Got a film tip for Mickey and all other Raitt fans...

Bonnie Raitt performs with BB King, Aerosmith, Mavis Staples, Angelique Kidjo, Keb Mo, Buddy Guy and a whole buncha others in "Lightning in a Bottle," a Martin Scorsese Presents/Antoine Fuqua documentary of one dynamite blues concert at Radio City Music Hall. It'll have a "select theatres" run(opens here in LA next week), so I'm not sure if it'll get a national theatrical release. But, the DVD version's sure to follow within a few months. And the 2-disc soundtrack is out now.

yep, I'm with you

My musical dream has always been to sing backup on a Bonnie tour. There are few things I'd do that would take me away from home for extended times, but that's one.
Ah, to dream.

"Ligtning In A Bottle" looks good....

....but I did get a chuckle out of this description on the Sony Pictures Classics Web Site:

"A one night, one time only concert at Radio City Music Hall in New York City in which some of the greatest performers in the history of Blues music, including BB King, Bonnie Raitt, Steven Tyler and Macy Gray performed together."

I know when I think blues, Macy Gray and Steven Tyler are the first performers that come to mind....w/ Bonnie Raitt at the forefront too....

I like Bonnie R but...

These two stole my heart on the last two Delbert Cruises.

The Bramlett gals. I got to play guitar with both of them.
