Not really potato chips, but ......
Even though they're not really potato chips, my vote goes to Hawkin's Cheezies. Yum!!
Don't know if they're available elsewhere, but well worth trying if you ever see them. I also really enjoy New York Deli Jalapeno chips when I'm in the USA. Cheers, BK |

Now we're talking!
I like Lay's Salt and (black) Pepper. Delish!

You know, I think I must be Canadian...
Quote:
I have the same tastes in chips...and let's face it: Potato chips--the specific brands and varieties therein--like beer, are a true regional cultural marker, especially all throughout North America, as this very thread so adeptly shows. Maybe I'm a misplaced Canadian! :P Joel |

Hey, not all Canadians like potato chips... I hate 'em!
Actually, hate is a strong word. Chips are ok, but I don't enjoy them enough to justify the fat content.

Joel mentioned Eagle Brand kettle Cooked chips - they were excellent...not up to the standard of my favorites (previously listed) Martins, Gibbles, Kitch'n Cook'd, and Zapp's, but good stuff. Count me in as another "Salt & Vinegar" fan. I don't eat 'em much though, too hard to find good ones - Lay's are too weak.

Chips!
What a fun thread! Man, I gotta get down under. Those Aussie flavors sound GOOD. And those crab, Old Bay and crawdad flavored chips really sound good, too. I live in Connecticut, so Cape Cod are pretty standard: love the dark russet chips that lenny mentioned. And Cape Cod BBQ are excellent as well. Keep 'em coming.
Oh, and how could I forget good ol' Cheetos Crunchy. Ummm. A meal in a bag.

Another Pringles junkie here.
Regular red-can ones. I detest flavored chips...and most "real" potato chips are just lousy tasting to me.
