Danny Gatton video tablature

I'm looking for tab for "Danny Gatton Hot licks and tricks" by Pro video, and "Danny Gatton Strictly Rhythm" by Hot Licks. My wife picked this up at a yard sale believe it or not, but there was no tab.

Good luck. I bought my copy brand new, and it didn't come with the TAB sheet, either. I've been chasing it for several years, haven't caught it yet. I understand that it's all on one page.

Great video.

If lawyers are disbarred and clergymen defrocked, doesn't it follow that electricians can be delighted, musicians denoted, cowboys deranged, models deposed, tree surgeons debarked, and dry cleaners depressed?

I should mention that my comments referred to the "Licks & Tricks" video. I have the TAB books that come with "Telemaster" and "Strictly Rhythm". If Fullerplast can't find his, I'll uncover my copy of Strictly Ryhthm - we're still upacking from the house move, and that video got separated from my other Gatton stuff.

Miles, we have the tab to Licks and Tricks and I swear... it isn't even worth having LOL - I don't know who "tabbed" this out but it's a single small sheet of papr - not even a full size sheet, it's about the size of the video itself - and it doesn't really even show you anything that has anything to do with what he shows you in the video. It's weird hahaha!

Danny Gatton video tablature

Hey ya'll
I appreciate the response, if you could make me a copy of it that would be great. He was a great guitar player, and those videos have some great licks. I'm really interested in the steel licks he played, and the hardest thing I ever done was teach this flatpicker to use his fingers too. I'm still trying to build speed on the rolls, and it's coming slowly but surely. Keep in touch, and once again thanks.

Mandy - lots of people are looking for that sheet. Why don't you send me a copy? I'll scan it in and post it on my Gatton website. If people like it, they can print it. If not, at least they know they're not missing anything.

Hey, what did you think of those Gatton home demos? Your band NEEDS to do "No Curb Service Anymore."

Still looking for Danny Gatton video tabs

Hey Tele295
I haven't checked in a couple of weeks, but I've been to your site to see if there is any tab. It's a great site man, you've got a lot of cool stuff on there. The tab I'm trying to find is the tab for Licks and tricks by Pro video, and the Hot licks strictly rhythm video. I also picked up a copy of Johnny Hiland's new cd it is great, it's on Steve Vai's label Favored nations, check it out man.

No, I don't have it on the site, but I'm trying to get a certain TV star/sister TDPRI member to send me the copy.

Thanks, I appreciate it, I can figure a lot of it out when I watch the tape, but I don't get to do that as much as I would like to. Hotel rooms don't always have VCR's, and I'm on the road quite a bit. I can take the tab anywhere to work on it, so anything you can do Is greatly appreciated. I think Danny was a great tele picker, and the licks need to be heard. Take care man, and once again thanks.

Oh stop, hahahhaa!

That'll be my priority today, trying to find that sheet, I promise. I feel horrible though because you're going to be REALLY disappointed - Gatton played all this amazing stuff and then somebody sat down to tab it out and thought "...oh Lord... I'll just tab out the chords." haha!

We do need to do it, but I couldn't play it! I'd really like to do all of 88 Elmira Street Boogie and I can't...and I've even got the real tablature for that. It's half lazyness and half overwhelm...ness.

Mandy - I will send you the TAB for Elmira Street Boogie this weekend if you will send out the Licks & Tricks sheet. I know it's nothing to look at, but we need to quell everybody's curiousity!

Miles, I already got the TAB to 88 Elmira Street Boogie... and I used it to figure out the first chunk in it...then I gave up. Hahaha thank you so much though.

I'm so slow at reading TAB that it's just plum embarrassing and when you're trying to learn something like a Gatton tune, if you're slow at it already you're going to be staring at it for a looooong time. Haha!

I got distracted today but I'm going to go look for that right now

Hi all,

Where can one find this TAB to 88 Elmira Street Boogie? I do have the two hotlicks videos and I think also the tab booklets that came withthem. If someone still wants a copy of the tab send me a private message and I'll see if I can go track down the tab booklets to make a a copy. If I remember correctly they were not all that bad. Unfortunately, even with the tab and the videos, I'll never sound like him...

Biker Joe - the entire 88 Elmira Street album (incluing Elmira Street Boogie) is available in TAB format through Hal Leonard publishing. It is readily available through our local music store or online retailer.

Apparently, I'm slow at reading English, or I would have caught that. Call us "evenly matched!"
