Hey Tim! What a GREAT looking SparkleJet!!! You said that you "used" to own it - so I take it that you no longer have it. Too bad. Even if it played bad, and sounded worse, it still looks too cool to put down!
So, we're going for 500 on this thread to see if we can light up the green light eh? We gotta LONNNNNGGGG way to go! I'll do my best to help keep it going. I can't get to my computer as often as usual, due to moving, but I'll try. Mr. Joel Terry - I really enjoyed your little story! You have a wonderful way with words! Are you a writer??? I always enjoy reading your posts.

Doing my bit ......
OK, I'm in .....
The guitar I'd like to own most would be my original Tele. I think it was a 60s-something (I bought it used) with that yellowy kind of solid finish, white pick guard, maple neck. Previous owner had put a Gibson PAF in the neck. I loved it, and it was my Number 1. I used it on some sessions, and I still listen to those tracks from time to time ..... Sigh ....... Then, like an idiot (who knew, at the time?), I stripped off the finish to the ash underneath, put on a black pick guard, brass nut and bridge (hey, it was the 70s), high output pickups. Yikes. Later sold it to help finance college, but got it back (total fluke) a few years later, then sold it again. But if I could have it back in the same condition I first bought it in ...... Sigh ..... Cheers, BK |

Oh I forgot - I was supposed to mention my dream guitar.
A real Broadcaster.

... and moving sux.
I got a big load moved today, but I still have MUCHO more. Fortunately I'm not being rushed to get out of here, so I can take my time. I have to sort through everything in this house and decide what to keep, and what to trash. Not fun.

Well, it's Wednesday. I got a call yesterday from Lee at GMW who told me that my custom shop Hot Rod Flames single humbucker w/old school brass v-trem ships on Thursday. I ordered this back in February or so - needless to say I am STOKED. No green though.

Booker T's
Green Onions has to be one of my favourite all time instrumentals. How many other songs can you name with the word green in the title? Let's see there's Green Door and Green Green Grass Of Home for starters.

I'm one who still likes to write and mail letters to friends and family; it's therapeutic for me--kind of like keeping a journal. My e-mails tend to destroy all e-mail protocols and conventions--mine are usually too detailed and long. :o :P I don't know if I would ever have the patience to write novels. I have a couple of really good story ideas I believe would make decent books, though. Most of the things I write--like the story in this thread--are just off-the-cuff, sometimes quirky little things. 500!
I'm afraid that we have a LONG, LONG way to go to reach 500. The two most responded threads that I remember seeing are "Put a face to a name" and "What's your occupation?". Neither of those have reached 500 posts.
I vote that Paul should consider lowering the count to 250 or 300

I think it's a forum software thing. Other forums that use this software have the same guidelines.
