I want a semil hollow p90 guitar

I went to a music store and played a PRS semi hollow p90 guitar....it was great. I loved it, but a little much at $730 for a chinese guitar.

I recently lost 2 times on ebay over the last 2 days on 2 Fender Tc90, which is a double cutaway set neck tele with p90s/ semihollow

I've been looking for alternatives but can't seem to find any affordable ones (less than $600)

Even looked at bare bones Les paul Jr's and those are astronomically expensive (Its the most simple guitar...what gives lol)

you'd think semi-hollow and p90s would have more of a selection. They sound so sexy in that combo.

any ideas or alternatives.

Looks nice in blue too (bid on this one. Didn't win it. I think I like my natural better anyway.).

I know they're not semi-hollow, but you asked for alternatives....so....

Besides, the hollowbody + P90 recipe is just sooooo right.

How about the Reverend Club King 290? I've been thinking about getting one of these for a while.

oh yeah, that works, I've never had a full hollow.

Reverends are cool too, I'll have to check the bay.

Mine was made by Peerless for Epiphone (in 2001), and they make the same thing now under their own brand called a Songbird.

I love my custom made ( from former TDPRI luthier extrodinaire, Kevin Bolinskey ) mahogany semi. Bucker slots, so it's not true P-90, but once I have a few extra buckos, I'll replace the GFS Retro Brooklyns with a set ( Z-90's, P-94's, H-90's, Rebel 90's, Zhangliquns, VV's, et cet ) bucker sized P-90 types that will bring out the best in this resonant, toneful beaut.....

There's always these:

http://www.rondomusic.com/harm1semifg.html

I haven't tried one, but someone out there in TDPRI-land must have (they have others as well, but this is the one that caught my eye). If you go solid body, they also have LP Jr. copies.

I'd love to see or get a tv yellow semil hollow tele body with p90s.

that would awesome, kinda like a hybrid tele lp jr but with the openness of a semi hollow body.

I've checked out those agile ones......I think they might be a cut above of the GFS ones. Something about GFS just doesnt sit will with me. I ordered some fatbody pickups and I just didnt like them.

but man what a tempting price.....i'm still thinking about it though :P

One thing: the Casino is fully hollow, and feeds back accordingly. Just FYI. Still a very cool guit, though.

And there's a guitar available in Europe called a Johnson JA-JP-T (sorry, can't find a photo) that's semi-hollow with two P90s. Looks very cool, but I've been unable to find one on this side of the pond. CS

I modded an SX Thinline to install a P90 in the neck position .I only had to carve out the pickguard to fit the P90 ,the body already has a humbucker route .I have also put a Fender neck on it but thats not needed .The stock neck has jumbo frets and was a tad thick for my small hands though I was getting used to the jumbo frets after a few weeks ..The thinline is a great style guitar but not sure Rondo have any at present. I put a Tonerider Hot classic in the bridge ,which I must confess sounds just fantastic through a Blackstar head .

I picked up a Ibanez Artcore AS-73, b-stock off the 'net for $220. I added two GFS p-90 retrofits, their Dream 90 in the neck and Mean 90 in the bridge. All told, I am in for under $300. My wife who usually reserves opinion even commented that the guitar sounds killer. I would have to agree. Deals are out there, you just have to dig a bit.

I've got one of these and it's simply amazing. Big fat neck and nasty P90's.

Epiphone made a version of the ES-295. They discontinued them for the one Yoni put up. I wanted one bad, saw one yesterday like new on Ebay for 600 I think. I believe they only come in the gold, but who cares? I'd like to know how that Palomino is. There's always harmony-central for reviews. But hey the Es-295 has the semi hollow, the P-90's, and I think that cut is cool. Is it florentine?

I had one of these in burst. Awesome sounds, treblier than what I expected, but it is one heavy baby. Playability is excellent, though. I kinda miss it!
