What's on your Christmas wish list?
My wife asked me tonight for my Christmas list... I am pondering the answer because most of the stuff I want is out of our budget this holiday season. So what do you guys want this Christmas? Guitar related or other....

If I'm lucky I'll get the top 20%, if I get more than that, I'm dreaming (don't wake me).

Alesis SR-16 and Digitec Jam man. Simple stuff. I have plenty of guitars, well, you know what I mean. I have plenty of amps and pedals, well, you know what I mean. So I could use the drum machine and looper so I can practice with more stuff. More stuff man, more stuff!

I have a squire affinity tele that has gone with me everywhere the military has sent me in the last couple of years. I take it apart, pack it with my luggage and put it back together when I get where I'm going. I'll continue to bring it everywhere the military sends me and hopefully it will last the 20+ years with me replacing or fixing what needs it. In the learning process, I learned you have to wrap a shirt or towel aroun the neck or the frets may get gouged and possibly gouged bad. That happened to mine. Now I stay away from the 7th fret for the most part.
So I asked Santa for a new neck, preferably lacquered so finger wear can show (the body already has wear so it looks a little off not matching) and with a nice fat profile an big frets. Santa said maybe after this upcoming deployment. :-)

A new set of pickups for my Strat, along with a black pickguard so I can cop some better Gilmour
But really, a Callaham bridge for my MIM Strat and some upgraded tuners. And the pickups!

We decided ages ago that my xmas present is something I buy, give to the missus to wrap.
I am hard to buy for. I pretty much only ever want ebay bargains- it makes no sense for her to buy me something new when I can get it for 1/3 of the new price online. This year I am getting an Ibanez RG550 limited edition that I bought on ebay 2 weeks ago. Last year was some Barden tele pickups. It does take the surprise out of it- but I usually get something else along the way.

Good answer!!
I'm toying between an SX sharkfin w/P-90s and a semi-hollow LP-style from GFS. Hoping for a bunch of BB gift cards to help with my new stomp box collection.

Nothing. I don't need anything more than I have. I wish my family would give to charities instead.
Okay, a nice meal and get-together with the family, especially my kids who are away at school. That's all I want. Peace, Mike. |

I haven't really thought about it due to some budgeting limitations, but my wife is finishing up her job early December, so I am really hoping for Christmas that she can slide straight into another job. That would be nice. Its tough, I always get little bits for my guitars and amps to keep them in shape and keep my gear in order through out the year, so when Christmas comes around, I'd actually prefer if it if we just spent more money and got her things she wants.
We don't have kids, so it kinda makes it a little easier. But in saying that, I'd love to spend some money on getting my MIJ 50's Strat fixed up. Callaham, new pickups, fret level and dress, setup...that'd be nice! |

I've had an old one for about 8 years and i really like it, but the new ones have so much more memory, it's like i'm running a commodore 64...

I'd like two custom guitar cables plus a nice evening out with just the moms and dads. No kids. Other than that, we're just chilling.
Strat Jr. wants an aircraft carrier toy. He'll get a couple of things but less than the last couple of years.
