I'm so brilliant....
Decided it was time for new strings. So.....I pulled out my LAST SET of strings.....strung up.....tuned up....checked intonation....and began to clip the tails at the post. Yep, got a little overzealous - clipped the D string off right at the post. Oh, well, don't need that pesky D string anyway. Did I mention this was my last set?

I did that once myself.
At least I didn't have to worry about the string snapping back & taking my eye out with my head up my @$$ like that.

OK, now I'm inspired. I think I'll try removing the D from one guitar, the G from another... I bet it forces you to come up with some very cool chords and leads!

Sometimes, but he gets rid of the low E string rather than the D.
The cover of the Marley box set shows Bob playing an acoustic w/o a D. I always wonder if Bob wrote "Redemption Song" that way. Daniel
