Ouch, I busted up my foot.

Well, I have been cleaning house and getting rid of a lot of piling up stuff.

And just when I was reaching the final bit of cleaning, the phone rang and I had to hurry to answer it, so I ran, stepped on a screwdriver on the floor which made me lose balance, my flailing arms knocked over a broom, of which the handle got my right foot stuck between the broom and the floor and then I fell making my toes flip upwards.

I almost fainted from the pain.

I went to the doctor and he said that my toes aren't broken but severely sprained, they are now wrapped up in tight bandages.

This sucks.

I broke my foot this last spring & was off work for six weeks.
Practice, change strings & catch up on your listening/watching music pile while you recuperate. Get better soon!

Did a similar thing a couple of months ago.

I was vacuuming up the house in my bare feet and tripped when the cord got tangled between my toes. Down I went! Broken toe (again)

Lesson learned? NO MORE VACUUMING!!

I've broken plenty of toes in my life, and there's not much you can be done about it -other than trying to smarten up and be less clumsy!

This thread has convinced me of the dangers of housecleaning. I'm glad I dodged that bullet.

Well, I took a tumble last Friday on some stairs. No serious injury, but one ankle is wobbly and I walk like I should use a cane. Curiously, there's no pain, just a bunch of bruises here and there below the belt line. I consider myself lucky! I won't drive until my right foot heals.

I feel for you Blazer! Hope it gets better soon, busted up toes are the worst. I broke two of mine with an axe when I was a teenager (don't ask).

I had forgotten how much broken toes hurt until about a year or so ago. It sounds like something out of a bad comedy movie, but here's exactly what happened-

I was walking through the house barefoot, eating a sandwich. As I walked by the TV I got distracted, so at this point, I'm watching TV, eating a sandwich, and walking barefoot across the room. As I turn (without looking) to make a left into the kitchen, I caught my left pinky toe full on on the base of my DVD rack. Snapped it straight sideways. I screamed so loud, I got a nose bleed. No kidding. The pain was so intense, even my eyeballs hurt.

The doctor got it to point the right direction, but it healed goofy, so now even though the toe points straight, it's rolled about a quarter turn. Meaning instead of my toenail facing the top of my shoe, it faces straight left.

Now when I am hungry and want to watch TV, I always put my shoes on first.

Yeah, but you probably have the licks to kill for!

I put a full blow ax into my left ankle when I was 8. Never felt a thing. That was my bum leg until recently when my right leg went recently. Now I hobble like Humpty Dumpty.

We should have a scars we have known over our lives thread! But it could get ugly!

I always pray ... spare the hands and ears ...

I broke my left foot 30+ years ago and I still "feel" it once in a while.
Some bones heal like new and others...

Feet and toes...

I took Nyquil to help me sleep. I awoke and walked my little toe more or less directly into the path of an oncoming corner. My wife said she thought I had Tourette's, what with my non-stop streaming scream of curses that didn't stop even after she came into the room. I cannot remember any worse pain. It was broken clean in two. I wouldn't the doc near the thing, 'xcept to take its picture.

Broke three bones in my foot at 11 years old. That hurt awful. But not the same as that stupid little toe. Urrrgh......makes me ill, even now....

I feel for ya, man. I broke a toe a few months ago and it still hurts every once in a while. Once, many years ago, when I was in the hospital, my roommate was a guy who cut off all of the toes on one foot except for the big toe with a lawnmower! Ouch!! Believe it or not, they were able to reattach 3 of them because his wife had wrapped them in kleenex and put them on ice in a cooler and brought them along. Freaky.

Yep. It sucks. It will just take time. Try to keep as much pressure off your foot as you can. Of course it's easier said then done.

Just make sure a guitar and amp are close by! Get well soon!

As I was moving in to the new house, the only phone plugged in was in the spare bedroom. Phone rang, ran in (barefoot) to answer it and punted my Bandmaster head (with two 10" speakers in it) with my right foot. I am not sure if the amp moved, but I broke two toes and never answered the phone....the amp is fine.
