Ever have one of those day's???

So far today, I've deleted 5 post's before submitting. After reading them before hitting submit, they either sounded very negative or self serving. Just curious if anyone else goes through those ugly moments!

Oh yes! Nasty posts not posted...

sometimes I get really annoyed about something on the TDPRI. Then I take the dog out for a walk or jump in the shower. After that I have hopefully forgotten what was ticking me off. If I haven't forgotten, then I remind myself that no one is actually waiting to hear my angry/frustrated/smart-ass/(your feeling here) reply. But yes, I know what you mean, there are days when it's better if I just don't get involved at all.

I have learned a few things since being a member here

The philosophy of the TDPRI seems to be that if you don't like the subject of a thread, don't read it - don't even click on it.

That's a real easy thing to say, much harder to do. And once you read a thread that you don't like, it's even harder not to respond.

BUT - I have actually learned to do just that. Since the last blow up on the main page a couple of months back, I just try to stay out of everybody's way (for the most part). If I do find myself in an honest debate, I try to PM the other guy to make sure he knows that I'm not trying to p*ss him off.

I've also learned that for every topic that I thought I was the expert on, there is probably at least one member here that knows more about it than me.

But it is hard. You do have to swallow your pride to erase a response before you submit it.

Me Too

I posted about my new P-Bass about 4 times and deleted, worried I was bragging (I was!).

Decided just to post a review at the review zone.

Yeah, all of the time. Even when I do post after rewriting it it usually comes out wrong.
