Recommend a Rolling Stones songs in Open Tunings
Now that I've got my Esquire up and running again, it is fast becoming my #1. I've got a Squier Tele Custom II I will also keep in standard tuning, but I would like to have my '72 Telecaster Custom in Open G. So, I need some easy Stones songs I can start out with learning in Open G. Also, any recommend sites with open tuning chords would be helpful as well. Thanks!

Howdy,
"Brown Sugar" and "Start me Up". I've actually been using a Rickenbacker 360 with a capo through my new Carmen Ghia for Keef stuff. It's a surprisingly effective rig; Although the Rickenbacker wouldn't be my first choice for "Brown Sugar". Have fun! Eggman |

tons. heres a fun one: "Little T&A". Jumpin Jack Flash, but I think that is in open E. Capo up to the fifth fret on your open G and you'll find "Happy"

"can't you here me knockin?"
"all down the line" is a perfect song to start out on, and you can learn a little open-G slide too "tumblin' dice" "dance little sister" is lots of fun, too; it is THE best riff for testing out an amp's "Stone's-tone" capability |

Real easy: Dead Flowers. Chords D, A, G. Sounds raunchier in open G tuning than std. tuning. And you can play around with slide along with the chording.

anybody thats into "Can't you hear me Knocking" should listen to East West by The Butterfield Blues Band.
Mick Taylor's whole solo lead comes right off Michael Bloomfield's excursion on that seminal track. It is one of the Definitive guitar explorations into uncharted territory even to this day
