ChickenFoot on Jimmy Kimmel

Last night. I'm not kidding at all when I say my son's high school rock band is writing songs as good as that. Nothing bad, but I would expect more out of a SuperGroup. For me it was kind of; so what, I waited up for this?

I liked it...but was that really the "super famous guitar player" Joe Satriani, in the band or a substitute. Cause the guitar playing was real basic, kinda clumsy with a grade school solo...my local guitar tech could play rings around this guy. Hell, I can play rings around that guy...so it must not have been Satriani, right?

Sorry, but I liked it a lot.
Basic, straight-ahead driving rock n' roll.

The guitar solo did seem clumsy but there might have been some reason for that.

That band would be 100x better without Hagar. It was nice to hear Joe go for Quality not quantity on his solo.

I liked it. Good basic rock in roll song in my opinion. Satriani did fumble the solo a bit but who cares. Maybe it is hard for him to play slow...lol. He sounded no different than Slash on a good day.

Hagar rocks.

I guess they rate up there with other guilty pleasures. I love CF. It's cool to hear Satch play more of a band role than just soloist guitar hero. Hard to believe he would muff a CF solo, considering his usual play. He must be messin' with us.

I liked it too - in fact it is way better than their performance a few months ago on Conan's show. They were tight - Smith and Anthony were fantastic. And Joe's rhythm playing is cool. The way he doubled the main riff at 2:20 was real nice - a subtle small part, but nice. He's talked about how he's toned down his style to fit with this band and be an integral part, rather than the front man. I agree the solo was clumsy, and that's kinda weird. Joe is so fluid normally ... like somebody else said, there must be a reason.

Hagar is a bit of a clown, but come on, the dude is rockin' hard at 60 and still sounds good.

Yea, he admitted to really flubbing the solo on his Twitter page. I love Joe's solo stuff and I really like CF. They put on a great show at the Myth here in Minneapolis a few months ago, the place was packed too.

So Joe flubbed a few notes?
Big deal, he is still an amazing player.

Love the chickenfoot project- Hagar rocks.

it took almost 3 min of Joe playing the same tediuos loud line-- to finally quiet down and sound better- esp after his short lead thing and then Sammy and Michael harmonizing good

Overall, I liked it.

My main gripe with Hagar...you can play man, strap it on and add something.
The solo loses the groove and dies. C'mon get rhythm.
