Who's getting snow?

Finally, after a mix of rain and snow.. And hard winds..

The snow is coming! It's refreshing.

Do any of you prefer snow over summer? It's nice with snow at Christmas.. But jammin' outside in the summer is awesome.

Here, up north in Sweden, the winter is quite long. And dark! Tho I live near the coast so we don't get as much snow as Kiruna or Arvidsjaur for example. Whom are more inland.

I prefer snow over summer hands down, because I live in an attac appartment and it gets incredibly hot during the summer days.

Here are some pictures I took last winter.

Yeah, skiing is real fun. I love Riksgränsen, if you know where that is. It's between the border of Sweden and Norway. Around 130 kilometres from Kiruna. It's lovley.

Yeah, it is almost cold enough to snow here in Phoenix, down to about 80F (27C). Needed a jacket this morning. (it was 57 F, 14C).

Should have snow in the high country pretty soon, though (Flagstaff will be 33-65 F today, 0.5-18 C, and that is 7000 ft level; Mt. Humphreys is 9000-12633 ft level, and may have show already).

We had some a couple weeks ago. It melted. Had a little more on Thursday evening. It's still sticking around in the shade.

Without a doubt, I prefer summer. Summers here really don't get all that hot, but winters are long and cold. There are tons of things I can't do outside when it's cold and snowy.

We've had snow that stayed for about the last 2 1/2 weeks. Only about 4 inches.

I was LITERALLY snowed into a hotel in Colorado last week.

...I love snow...but with the interstates being shut down and the connecting roads closed... it was kinda boring.

I'm thankful to see a bright, sunny day here in Indianapolis today!

We had almost two feet of it in my yard in a neighborhood on the south end of Denver. That was the Wednesday and Thursday before Halloween. By last Sunday, it was sixty degrees. The last two days we've had near-record-breaking high temperatures here. Today, my son and I are going out with his cub scout troop to take a hike and it should be in the low seventies.

I love Colorado.

I love winter; the more snow the better. We had very little last winter; I was tempted to drive up to Buffalo to get my fix.

We've had several snow storms that started Sept 30 this year. The nights are below freezing, but day temps melt whatever sticks to the ground within a day or so. Snow is staying just a little farther up the mountain.

I like the snow, but wouldn't want it year round.

we host the olympics soon so good conditions will help the snow here is very heavy due to the high moisture content coming right off the pacific ocean the storms come in waves and you can get 20cm+ overnight lucky for me i live in the banana belt down by the ocean but the mountains are only 45 mins away + i'm a snowboarder
my cabin in the north cascades 2 hours away can be buried under snow
just south mount baker wash gets 1000cm easy in the winter + -35 is not uncommon overnight

i think the talk is mini el nino this winter

enjoy keep warm

Got our first dump yesterday. Knew it was coming, but it was wild to wake up and see everything completely covered. Quite a bit of it melted away, no slush on the roads or anything now but it's still kicking around.
