Willie Nelson Angels & Outlaws on USA network
Anyone catch this show last night on the USA network?
...Kind of interesting to see Willie, Merle Haggard (w\tele signature model) and Keith Richards pickin' together with Jerry Lee lewis on piano. Bob Dylan does a tune using a Tele as well...Bob and Willie singing together, does it get any better\worse? It will air again on June 5th & 6th, hours aren't the best but that tivo thing sure comes in handy! http://www.usanetwork.com/specials/willienelson2004/ |

I caught the beginning- Dylan, Kid Rock, Al Green, Shelby, but thought it was a mixed bag at best.
I'm a fan of just about everyone on the show, but I found it some of it unwatchable. Dylan and Willie covering Hank's You Win Again was abysmal. The rest was fine; just underwheming...I went back to Tom Sellick playing Ike...that was just as uninspiring...I should have just practiced! |
