gave away a tele
last year i scored a squier tel for $40 on CL. took it home cleanerher up, did a quick setup and i been playing it on and off since.
last week i got in touch with an old highschool buddy who i havent seen in 25 years through facebook. he was involved in a bicycling accident and is still recouperating. he is still pretty layed up but was interested in learning to play guitar to help pass the time. but because he has trouble walking still he can't go shopping for one and has no idea what he would buy if he could! so last week i gave the squire to him. i happened to be at a party in the town where he lives so his wife loaded him in his car and drove him down to meet me and make the hand-off. i told him i only wanted it back if he couldn't find an underprivelidged kid to give it too when he's done with it! i just heard from him, he said his fingers hurt more than his arse now! my work is done here! damn i feel good!

Great Job...Giving away instruments is wicked underrated. Musician to musician. That is what it is all about. I gave away my Les Paul to an old guy that was just learning, but had done a lot of good things for me in my life, and my 1967 Guild f-30, which, although I still miss it, is now in the hands of someone who gets the chance to learn on it for the next ten years like the chance I got. Of course, when you give an instrument away, it is a must to ask the person promise to give it away or at least trade it when they are done. If everyone did this, all the best instruments would be in the hands of players. And our spirits would all shine bright. Not to get too preachy here, but in the universe, hate is not the opposite of love. Greed is the pure opposite of love. Love is when you give more than you receive, and greed is when you take more than you give. This is a good lesson that I hold near and dear to my heart. Don't be greedy!!! Just don't do it!!! Love, Morgan.

Good show!
Think how wonderful this world would be if guitars were free (or if you could get at least one for free).
