New Guitar : epi Riviera !
I am looking at a used Epiphone Rivera made in Korea at Peerless factory (?)
Seller changed pups for DeArmond Gold Tone Humbucking Pickup. Seller is asking 500$ CDN ... What do you think ? I would like to add a traditional style guitar with humbucker to the herd. But I'm in no hurry ...

My opinion? Seems like a great deal ...
This is the greatest use of an Epiphone Riviera that I personally know of (even if Robbie used a Tele on the original studio recording): |

got it on my couch !
Here some pics of the black beauty ...
Seller even brought her to my place ... played some licks and fell in love. (should have played sloppier : seller seemed like having some remorse already) Bridge with overdrive : it rocks !! Neck with clean tone : it jazzes !!

Felicitations! Looks beautiful. Interesting looking pickups. From what I know the Peerless models are supposed to be good.
Normally I would say that you should take off the pickguard and show those f-holes, but the white epi guard definitely goes with the black body with binding. |

I'm looking online about those DeArmond Gold Tone humbucker. Can't find too much info but ... they sound good and with thicker strings and a proper setup my gas will be cured for awhile

love the riviera, it's my next guitar buy. Goign to try and get one of the wine red early 2000s, or a peerless one in sunburst if i can find one at the right prices (just missed one on ebay that sold $20 higher than my bid)

I have a Peerless-made Casino. IT's an amazing guitar. LOVE it.
Congrats on the new acquisition!
