Hey Minnesota members, anyone going to the Anoka guitar show tomorrow?

I've never made it up to the Anoka armory for the annual guitar show they have every year. http://crocodileproductionsinc.com/music.htm Anybody from the TDPRI going? Is it worth checking out for the $5 entry fee and drive up to Anoka all the way from Shakopee?

I've heard from a local vintage guitar trader that the show is getting worse and worse every year and not to bother (prices too high, too much flea market junk). I'm taking that with a grain of salt until I hear a second opinion.

They must have great marketing, I hadn't heard about it.

Apparently this is the 13th annual show. Who knew? I never heard of it until 2 years ago Now I see an ad on craigslist for the show and in the past couple of issues of Vintage Guitar Magazine. No good details though.

I saw the CL ad, but won't be going. I'll be at the Gopher game instead!

I had forgotten the show was tomorrow - I might go up there for it, although it's a long drive for me (I live in Eagan). I've been to 5-6 of them over the years. They also do a Spring show at the armory in St. Paul by the capitol. I don't think I've bought anything big there - it's not like some of the big shows around the country. It's mostly local shops and collectors and builders who buy a table and set up their goods. A few of the vendors have a lot of odds and ends that are hard to find anywhere, so you might stumble onto something you need. I've bought project guitars, speakers, logos, special screws, a PA amp, and some pedals. I also sold a guitar to a collector. It's a nice little diversion, and you can see just about everything in an hour - and if you make two trips around all the tables, you can spend and hour and a half! It's worth the trip at least once.
