One is in Feb for the Pinal Country Bluegrass and old time fiddlers(a bunch of old country pickers from the area), I should ask if anyone remembers him.
i would love to know what stuff that is too... some guy played me some tracks and all i remember was that it had some cool tremolo and reverb sounds on it... it was definitely not any of the sanford clark / jody reynolds stuff... if i remember correctly they were however hazlewood productions and some of it was instrumental... in the early 2000s sanford clark and al casey came over to europe for some shows... i would loved to have seen casey but i had already moved back to the US and missed them... tj

...great song!!!...

..."Some Velvet Morning" is even deeper...
Yeah, I'm with you 100% on those two songs. I remember walking all over the North Side of Chicago looking for "Some Velvet Morning," (before songs could be found on the internet). What a cool way he intercut his duple meter low, gravelly vocal part with Nancy's floating 3/4 part. And that was a song regularly played on the radio back then. What happened to music?

Cool thread. I enjoy that era. I have been listening to and playing "Boots" quite a bit in a band I am working with. I am also fond of the Lee Dorsey stuff from that mid-60's era, although that is a little more R&B. I like the arrangements of the country and r&b songs with the horns and strings.

Howdy,

My first crush was Nancy Sinatra; talk about sexy! Lee was the talented man behind Nancy..the lucky bum!
I remember my dad taking me to a Hubert Humphrey rally at the Astrodome in the fall of '68. I must've been 3 or 4. Nancy sang "Sugartown". Her video for "Sugartown" defines "sexy".

I was watching Kill Bill Vol. 1 last night & the opening song was Nancy
Sinatra's " Bang Bang,You're Dead ". The guitar was very twangy &
sounded very good. Who played it?
