2009 Fundraiser / Giveaway NOW Underway!

The 2009 Fundraiser Giveaway is has started now and is in full swing!

Read all about it, make a donation to enter, see all the prizes at 2009-fundraiser-giveaway.

So, what can I tell you about this year's Fundraiser? Well, first of all, it is the biggest Giveaway ever on the TDPRI. We have 4 whole guitars (including a one-of-a-kind beauty from the Fender Custom Shop), two amps, a finished body and neck and two unfinished bodies and necks to be given away. And, even more!

For those of you that are new to the TDPRI, each fall we hold a Fundraiser and give away thousands of dollars worth of guitar gear via a "raffle-type" system via donations to the TDPRI. Here's how it works: for every donation you make during the month long fundraiser you get an entry into a raffle to win one of the valuable prizes. Then, at the end of the Fundraiser (mid-November) we give it all way and folks from all over the world WIN. Simple as that.

So, enter Now at 2009-fundraiser-giveaway.

Thanks
TDPRI

Please can you tell me how I can donate from the UK? I don't use a credit card, just a debit card which isn't accepted in the US.

You can open a PayPal account and link your Debit card to the PayPal account - debit cards and Maestro are accepted - or you can ask your bank to raise you an international cheque although this is an expensive way of doing it.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your help. I have no other need for PayPal, so I don't really want to open an account. I'll check with my bank.

I'm excited because I joined the forum too late last year. I just saw the winner, didn't get a chance to enter.

Sorry BR, it's a big world and I do the best I can to make it accommodating to everyone. Sorry it doesn't work for you.

BR

There are no fees involved and once you've opened an account there is no further obligations.

Thanks Paul. I'm sure we don't see a 10th of the behind-the-scenes efforts that you put in. Be assured you're much appreciated.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

TDPRI is by far the best site in my book (on my computer?). I've had loads of fun here and learnt a huge amount as well. (and develped a potentially life ruining obsession with Teles, but I don't hold you responsible for that).

I appreciate it takes a lot of work to keep this going to the standards we've come to expect. so I'll find a way to get the moolah over there.

I want to win a new Tele anyway!

I stopped by Paul's house (in an undisclosed location, naturally!) yesterday, and got to play the Cabronita, the AV '62 Custom, and the John 5, all through the Champ SE, and all I can say is DAMN, why do I have to be a moderator???

Oh well, I never won when I WASN'T a mod, so I don't really feel I'm missing out too badly...

The Cab is a profoundly great guitar. Seems to me it's an extra special one, the only one in that color (is that right, Paul?). All I know is, it played like butter, and sounded amazing. The AV is one hell of a Tele, too! I didn't like the John 5 that much, but I reckon someone who digs a modern flatter neck would definitely dig it...

That Champ is a heck of an amp, too!

Sigh...

Tim

Hey Tim, you just missed the Kirn "Barn Buster" too. It really looks fantastic!

Here's some photos (note the cool aluminum case that comes with the guitar, too):

I've said it before, and I'll say it again...
Where are the "drool" smilies??
I've only ever seen Mr Kirn's work via the TDPRI, never in the flesh.
But my wife may get jealous if I win that one...
What's the psychological term for Telecaster fetish??

I am sorry if this has been answered before.

My PayPal e-mail address is not the same that I used to register in the forum. If I am so lucky as to win, would you be able to connect me?

I saw the statement about not having to give your user name and that the e-mail in the payment would link me to the forum, that's what's throwing me off.

On the other hand, $25 is a small price to pay for the service you provide to the Tele community.

Thanks.

Glad to see that my entry has been confirmed, but did you also receive the complementary bottle of single malt to help you in your difficult job of picking the "right" winner? What's that? Oh, yeah....shhhhhhhhhh. Mum's the word.

I'm afraid I can't participate this year. I've been unemployed for 13 months now and don't have enough money to pay this month's bills. If I can get back on my feet, I will gladly send some money Paul's way. This place is an invaluable resource.
Best of luck to the entrants!
