A plug for Peavey's customer service...
I recently picked up a used Peavey Firenza that has a Gotoh(Japan) recessed into the body, tune-o-matic bridge. Well I got in a hurry while adjusting the bridge height, which have allen heads instead of slots. I stripped the ever-lasting-heck out of them to the point of no return. If I had any hair, I would have pulled it out at that point. I should have caught it--Gotoh=Japan=METRIC!
I e-mailed Peavey with my situation, and they are sending me out the parts at no charge. I bought the guitar used, way out of warranty, and besides, I screwed it up...I was very impressed. We always hear the bad, and seldom the good. Kudos to Peavey for a job well done. They made a friend in me. |

count me in for Peavey too...
As a COMPANY....Peavey IS "The Standard".
Great Customer Service, actually Best In The Business. Great Workforce, dedicated people with Regional Pride. Great Leadership, Hartley is my generation's Leo Fender. Y'know Peavey is one of the VERY FEW who really got the "Printed Circuit Board Thing" right with their Tube Amps. They really do sound WARM and always have since the first one I bought in 1978. I still own a 1978 Peavey Classic and the only reason I'd sell it would be to put food on the table. It's THAT good.

Pretty good forums, too. Especially the Electric Guitar Forum and the Amp Forum. If you post your problem there you will often get some very good help from not only Peavey's customer service staff, but other Peavey suporters who are extremely knowledgeable. You can find out the shipping year of just about any piece of Peavey equipment by posting the serial number there. Even Chip Todd, Peavey's first guitar department manager and designer of the T-60 posts over there.

i've always known peavey as the lower cost alternative for amplifiers, and i used to own one (a "reknown." if i recall correctly, 160 solid state watts WOW it was loud). it worked great the whole time i owned it...
anyway to my point. they have stuck around over the years, and seem to be in line with the thinking of amp buyers with their new stuff. it's nice to see a good company who is apparently still motivated to be good :) |

They're cool
A few years back they sent me a PUP ring for a T60 for free!!!! Unfortunately they are out of stock for most of the old stuff parts now. They do have excellent customer service in my experience.
