How many of you still let the teenager inside out once in a while?

With which I mean, put on a record we love and play along with it as loud as we can?

I still do so, every so now and then, I'll hook up my stage gear and rock out to records that simply rock. Something simple like Kiss, or Aerosmith just rock and sing and pose.

It's my way to get rid of frustrations and anger. Just rock out.

well, i'm more like jj than you blazer, i wasn't really a "rock out" guy-- but i definitely put on a dead boot now and then and noodle along.

i feel like i typed this in another thread recentlt, but after all the soul searching and experimentation and changes i tried in college and my first few years of adult working life, i'm really very similar to the person i was when i was 18...

My wife was out shopping with her mom on Sunday this past weekend. The amp went way up, the AC/DC went on and the cats scattered!

I do it constantly. At work, at home, at rehearsals. It's an essential fact of a healthy emotional life, IMO.

Depends on who you ask. My gf probably says I never put him in, while I say he's out not enough.

Every time I play a gig I'm a teenager all over again. Then the gig ends and I have to move the equipment. It's amazing how quickly I start acting my age again at that point!

Oh I let him out all the time. The only problem is that we share the same body and I have to pay for what he does to it. Like when he drove the ATV off in a hole the other day and rolled it over.

Yeah, I let him out way too much for my body to keep up with. What is the old saw, my mind is writing checks my body can't cash...

My inner teenager used to escape regularily when I was in my 30s. I never broke a bone in my childhood but I averaged one broken bone a year in my 30s, and usually in my face. (You don't get a face like this without breaking a few bones).

I keep that l'il troublemaker either locked up or on a very short leash (since he's dragging my grumpy old body with him).

I do that, but with different music. As a teenager, I listened mostly to REM, the Cure, Smithereens, Firehose (not firehouse), They Might Be Giants. -All good stuff still, but I just don't seem to listen to it anymore. Maybe it's because I'm too busy trying to rediscover all the stuff I thought was stupid back then.

Every time my 6-year old girl wants to listen and dance to Ramones with me! And it happens very often

Hey ho, let's go!

(BTW, that was the first phrase my girl learned in English )

When the mood strikes me, I put on my old teased up Sebastian Bach wig and go back to the first instrument I learned how to play back when I was thirteen: the drums. A couple hours of banging away with the headphones pumping out the old hair band tunes my friends and I used to play really hits the spot sometimes - accept no substitute.

my "inner teenager" must be running rampant cause i've been going through a Bachman-Turner Overdrive phase here lately. AND I AM NOT ASHAMED!

but it is very strange.

My wife and I were grooving to Kings Of Leon cranked on the stereo the other day.

I am a victim of the Peter Pan syndrome.

No. Wives and girlfriends are the victims of the Peter Pan syndrome. Men are just the carriers.
