Merle Haggard's Strangers

I'm looking for "The Instrumental Sounds of Merle Haggard's Strangers" but I'm not sure if it was ever released on cd. Any suggestions where I can buy it ?

Try the Ernest Tubb Record Shop. They would be the only ones that could locate it,if it exists.

Vinyl only - but ya gotta love the Internet.

Took about 17 seconds with Google.

They have it listed as entry #0261, and the price just says "make offer." Btw, the actual catalog number is Capitol ST-169. Best of luck, CS

Hi

None of the Strangers album were ever released on CD. The links below will give you a lot of info on the five instrumental albums.

I cover "Stealin' Corn", "Every Fool has a Rainbow", and "Hammin' it Up" on my Guitar Styles of Roy Nichols Video.

Good stuff.

Aaarggg...so there are no less than five instrumental albums by The Strangers ? Maybe we should urge Capitol Records to reissue them.

Got them !!!!!

Wow ! Someone offered all 5 of them on Ebay, I made a bid and won them. Just over 70 dollars for 5 records. Not a bad deal I think 8)
There was only one other bidder. I guess nobody noticed this auction :D

Yes, I was very surprised to find them. The seller has excellent feedback and the condition of the records is supposed to be near mint with just some wear on the covers.

Yep, and best of all; the records seem to be almost new :) There's only a minor bubble on one track but that was stated in the auction.
