I'm all for gettin' the he11 outta Dodge. But sooner or later, ya gotta stop to eat, sleep & drop a deuce.
So in addition to some of the other sage advice I've seen posted so far, I'm digging through my old vinyl collection because I know that somewhere in thre is an old K Tell compilation of 60s & early 70s crapolla, featuring the worst song of all time, Ma Belle Ami by the T Set.
In the event that I'm trapped & have no chance of escaping a zombie attack, I would play that song & if it didn't scare the zombies away, at least it would make me welcome death & the loss of hearing that comes with it.

Cold weather Zombies must be a zombie adaptation that I did not foresee. Can Zombies swim? There has to be something they cannot do? I know they can be pets.

My 10 year old son explained to me that shotguns are your best weapon against zombies. Aim for the head and you can usually take them out in one shot. And they say kids aren't getting a decent education these days.

Esquires make for a pretty badass melee weapon.

But I do this all the time.

Objective 1) supplies. food. water. medicine / first aid. ammo. small pillow. sleeping bag.
Objective 2) find a light and easily repairable bike. Zombies are not fast and I need no fuel.

3) weaponry. Hatchet or Machete for melee usage. a small lightweight .22 carbine. .22's are ubiqitous and the bounce around effect in the head will take care of them. No focused on excessive carnage. defense is my goal. lighter the

4) build a safe haven or escape to one. tree houses. anything you can climb but they cant. Interstate over passes. Anything close to food supplies but you should have stocked up on lightweight easy to prepare and carry food. Whey Protein powder, canned tuna, dried foods.

5) wait for the decay to set in. More than likely you can out smart the horde. Just travel light and fast. NOTHING IS PERMANENT OR SAFE. Dont trust others. Once you find a badass spot (near a stream? fishing? infinite food supply!) wait. Dont go looking for trouble and more than likely since you are traveling light and keeping your mind sharp (physical exercise or education material). You will make it out... ALIVE.

If Zombies can swim, fly and move in frigid cold weather but do they date? What if I see a "hot looking Zombie" Do I ask her out or run? Can they play bass because I need a bass player.

To go on another tangent, if zombies can do it all they must be able to read and use computers. Therefore I must assume that there are Zombie Lurkers who are on the internet and who are probably in their own zombie way lurking on this site and maybe......even contributing to it. I know that someone will correct me but I have never heard of a Zombie Country Band. What we need now is a Country zombie love song.

Maybe it would have some lines like this:

She was cold to me but then she was cold to everyone
I gave my heart and she gave me her hand
Now I am heartless but I have 3 hands

Zombies as spiritual beings back from the dead has gone out....it is now a sort of virus so they remain living creatures (a whole lot less to explain that way and makes them more equitable opponents.) That's part of why I like zombies, you can fight back!

I'm in one of the worst Zombie Movies ever made! And somehow it got picked-up by Troma Films (Toxic Avenger, etc.) so now it's widely available.

Don't say I didn't warn you but if you get the chance to see the "gem" known as POT ZOMBIES look for me....Redneck Number One...
