I Bought Two Great Albums Today!

I stopped into Best Buy today to pick some random computer hookup cord and Season 5 of Stargate Atlantis ( I am a huge Sci - Fi geek ). I decided to buy two albums I have heard much about.

1) Robert Plant and Alison Krause - Raising Sand - Holy Cow! I know this album has won a gizzilion awards and has been out for at least a year, but better late than never. This album is a must have for any music lover.

2) Green Day - 21st Century Breakdown - More and more I am starting to think that Green Day may well be picking up where the Who left off. This album is quite new, so I am ahead of my usual curve ( see # 1 )

Check some of the songs out on YouTube if you do not have these.

I thought it was interesting that Krauss-Plant covered two Gene Clark songs...

I plan on getting both as well.

About 2 weeks ago, I looked up the "Raising Sand" clips on Youtube. I was not sure what to expect, but was amazed at how good they sound together.

As for Green Day, they're going to be a classic band if they aren't already. They have really grown on me.

Glad you like your new music, thanks for passing along the info.
