I recently picked up a nice Special in cherry. When I get to know it better I might start a separate thred. First impressions: the P-90 has its own magic, this is one raucous little guitar; strong ballsy sounds, not as trebly or bright or cutting as a Tele but really in your face, a broadsword to the Tele's rapier; very handsome in the cherry (the yellow was thin and pukey looking!); comfortable to play, the shorter scale suits me; great fun!!

LP Jr.s are great.
I have an '05. Love the single p90, it is a rock machine, but roll back the volume and it cleans up nice. I really like only having the 2 knobs, but then again I'm a minimalist.

I don't have an esquire tele yet but this thing make me consider it, just cause of how good the one pickup sounds.

It's not a Gibson, but i'm sure sweet on it. '57 RI Epi, I actually prefer it to the Gibson I played at Long & Mcquade last month. The pickup is a little weaker , but the playability, intonation and fretwork are A+. (hope you dont mind the Epi intrusion)

No problem at all. That Epi sure looks sweet. It just so happens that I was looking at the Gibson at Long and Mcquade in Edmonton. They didn't have an Epi jr in stock or I would have tried it too. I will look for one when I'm ready to buy. The chances of that same LP jr being there are almost nil, but I'd be willing to make the trip if it was. I can't stop thinking about it.
