Another iPod Question
So, I solved my storage dilemma by buying a 1.5TB external drive. I'm ripping my CD library twice...
And now I have a new issue. I have noticed that the iPod combines two CDs with the same title, but by different artists. Specific occurance: I selected the album "This Time" by the Bluesbusters. It played cut 1 from the Bluesbusters album and then cut 1 from the Dwight Yokam album "This Time." Then cut two from both. I solved the problem by selecting the artist option, but that won't solve the problem if I only want to hear that album since it will play all songs loaded by the specific artist. Is there any way to stop this? |

Select the artist option and click on an artist, if you have multiple albums by that artist, you should get a screen listing those albums along with "all songs", select the album you want and you should be set.
Failing that, you could try editing the album titles on your iPod through iTunes, so that one of them is called "This Time 1" or something like that. |

I loaded 'The Black Crowes and Jimmy Page:Live at the Greek" cd. Half the songs are under Jimmy Page, and the other half are under The Black Crowes, I kid you not.

No need to change the album titles. The way to fix that is to do the following in iTunes:
Select all the songs on the album "This Time" by the Bluesbusters, right-click, and select "get info." ITunes will ask you if you're sure you want to do this for multiple songs; click yes. In the field "Album Artist" type "Bluesbusters" and click OK. Do the same thing for the Dwight Yokam album. Your iPod will now know you have two albums with the same name by different artists.

Follow the same thing Lathem said. The problem is probably that the Artist and Album Artist are different. You can make it so they're all 'The Black Crowes and Jimmy Page' (that will seperate that album from all your other Black Crowes on the iPod's 'Artist' list) or just 'The Black Crowes' and know by the album title Jimmy Page is playing with them.
