A good single coil would have laughed out loud and rung like a bell at the same time ! The bolt was probably from a short in a Tweed Bassman . I have never seen a humbucking lightning rod before . The possibilities are almost endless .

well....

I'd just string it up and play it!!! You loose three frets in the upper end but the story far out weights any high notes that you need!!!!

I kind of hope whoever buys that doesn't repair it. That guitar is the most rock and roll thing I have ever seen. It should be displayed in a hard rock cafe!
