I dislike fried beef liver and onions but-

I like dirty rice and anything with chicken livers, pate with pork liver or duck liver, and good chopped liver

I've avoided this thread as long as I possibly could. But like a bad car wreck, I just had to peek. Now I regret looking. Offal is downright awful...no guts, no nuts or anything that makes its own jelly. Damn...

But since you asked, I love liver and onions. One of our family stories: My sister hates liver. My dad was in the army and we were transferred to La Rochelle, France, in 1957. We had driven all day, and were tired and hungery. We got to our hotel and went to the dining room for dinner. We ordered the plate de jour, a lovely piece of beef with gravy. You know the rest - my sister cut off a big piece, stuck it in her mouth.....
Leon. You old goat! I was torn between making this post about liver or cabbage!

Haven't eaten maksalaatikko since schooldays! But during those days I was - errr - heavily into heavy metal. Hmmm... so maybe eating maksalaatikko and digging heavy metal are connected?!?!? I still dig the Dudesons though

Love it! And my wife - who grew up hating liver - is now a convert.

Gotta admit, it tastes awful if it's poorly cooked, tho'.

My liver probably thinks I hate it. I know it hasn't been working well thus far, but maybe I should buy it another drink? Yeah, then it'll love me.

I want nothing to do with anything else's liver, especially in my mouth!

I love my liver. As for the livers of dead animals:

They taste good, but way too many toxic chemicals end up there. Might as well suck a thermometer. Once a year, I order a free-range organic turkey for Thanksgiving, and I sautee the liver for myself and the cat, since no one else likes it.
