This years beater.
Directly from craigslist...Carlo Robelli (Sam Ash) "National Biscuit Resonator" copy $70.00
I've used it on 2 resort dockside gigs so far, so...It's already paid for itself.

We have a Little Martin that has been perfect for sweat, sand, sunblock, small kids and all with some birthday cake and beverage thrown in. I'd have to be called a tone snob with my OM-28V and 00-18 and somebody came up to me at a beach and says the Little Martin was a beautiful sounding guitar.
I also tried some moderately priced Yamahas, the little Taylor and Backpacker. Taylor high pitch tone was better but the Little Martin carried itself better or with more power. Add treated strings and you're in business for severe service 6 string fun. |

Yeah, I wouldn't take my Larrivee anywhere I thought it would be damaged by accident--it would break my heart. I have a Martin Backpacker that's perfect for taking around and it's pretty robust--it takes a licking and keeps on ticking as they say.

Whenever I go camping, to the beach, lake, river, jam, or outdoor festival 98% of the time I have my 1958 Martin D-18 with me.
I have been known to show up with my '58 Martin 00-17, and even a '48 Martin D-28 shaded top, but the D-18 is my favorite guitar so it stays with me.
