Make N Music is a fine establishment, they work on all my gear. I wouldn't pay for the guitar but someone will.

With all that wood behind the bridge I bet it sustains real good.
Incase your wondering why I said that Leo when he was making G&L's did some experiments on his Strat style guitars Skyhawk style bodies and did some experiments with different sized bodies and discovered this.

I like the way the control assembly is moved over towards the bridge. Not just for practical reasons but more for aesthetics. Ramseybella and Oigun chose the same course of action on lefty Teles and righty Telemasters, respectively. The USACG is from Tony at Pickguardian and I guess that's why Tommy is reluctant to change it now. But I find it is really interfering with what you can do to mod the USACG Telemaster body and it might be biggest part of the reason I'm messing with the shape in the first place. Each generation of USACG Telemaster webspecial body is lighter and a little less expensive than the previous. A nice ash 3 piecer for $ 139 I think right now. |

Thats got me thinkin. $139 for a body a few bucks for some spray paint transfer all the other parts I need over from my CV50's and sell the CV50's body and neck pickup.
I shouldnt be thinking like this! LOL

Geez, just when I forgot about this GAS inducing slab,,,up it comes again!,,,,in the year since I first saw this guitar, I think I could build one now thanks to all the fine folks' knowledge so generously expressed on these pages...and,,if I screw it up too bad, I could always contact Mr.Ron Kirn and see if he would make me one....

Ever since I found out about the Telemaster I've wanted one.
As soon as I have a job I'm going to break my partscaster cherry by building a Telemaster.

I built something similar, but using a tracing from a Mustang body.
This was my second attempt at a build. It's fun, but not nearly $6,500 fun. ![]() I'm almost ashamed to post it in a photo thread with the above examples...my finishing work wasn't great and hasn't advanced too much since then. I've got some pickguard material and have fooled around with tracings, but haven't gotten around to putting one on. I know I should. USA Custom makes bodies for Telemaster style, or GFS has there complete versions for a few hundred bucks.

Well, after almost 10 months, my Esquire-master (not to be confused with the Hobby Lobby model airplane, called a Telemaster™) project is underway. I have the necessary hardware are body now and am going to get a sheet of the heavily marbled tort from Pickguardian. Still have to pick up a neck and tuners for it... but I'll post pictures as it's coming along.
Cheers, Ward

The Taipantone 1/2 bridge is shorter than it has to be - it is more needed on a Filtertron with a surround, I'd say: ![]()
