Roy Buchanan PBS special on DVD?

Is there any way to legitimately obtain a copy of the original PBS program "The World's Greatest Unknown Guitarist" on DVD, or VHS for that matter? I know it crops up on yootoob from time to time but I just can't sit and stare at the computer screen for that long.

You could always fire off an email to PBS.

And - while You're at it ask them to replay the "Soundstage - Buddy Guy" Special from The 70's.
Check out ebay for the National Educational Television (PBS' old name) for "The World's Greatest Unknown Guitarist" under "Roy Buchanan".
That's where I got mine.

No, same title, but that's a CD of a live performance. The program I'm looking for was a documentary that, among other things, shows Roy sitting in with Merle Haggard & the Strangers.

According to this site, the program was actually called "Introducing Roy Buchanan":

Bummer. I don't see anything official out there on the net.

Well, there's this: http://flashbackdvd.com/index.html and they have it listed but I don't know squat about them.

...it's impossibly rare...

...and not officially re-released...I've seen it on eBay as well, and so it will come up,but it's usually a boot, thus not always the best quality...

...the playing w' Johnny Otis was a bit staged and uneasy,as I felt Shuggie was sounding better than RB...
