Man, I miss the Johnny Cash Show!
I remember when it first aired. I was in 6th grade.
I had this really cool teacher, Mr Berk, who was a music nut & would talk music constantly.
He helped me to discover stuff that would have been way over my head & out of my reach at that age, not having any older siblings.
He turned me on to the show because he actually didn't have a TV until he bought one specifically to watch Johnny.
If you wanna talk about some strange mixes, how about The Tom Jones Show?
That was another good one.
Tom would sing duets with everyone from Lulu to Janis.

Johnny Cash's TV show had Bob Dylan as the very first guest, and a ton of great performers after that... Lotsa good stuff on YouTube!

My wife gave me the Johnny Cash TV Show DVD set for Christmas a couple years back. It doesn't have everything on it, but more than enough to keep you happy. And the audio is AMAZING!

I caught a clip of Johnny & Joni Mitchell on some PBS beggathon special a few weeks ago.
