Which book

Hi. I am looking to enlighten myself.
Whcih book would you recommend or are the 2 pretty much the same?
The Guitar Player Repair Guide - 3rd (Paperback)
or
How to Make Your Electric Guitar Play Great!: The Electric Guitar Owner's Manual (Guitar Player Book) (Paperback)

Never mind, ordered both books, they are pretty cheap

My buddy gave me a Dan Erlewine DVD on guitar repair. Really, really impressive. He showed so much that I realized that I have no business messing around with my guitar and that I should take it to a luthier who has the right tools and knows what he's doing!

Enjoy the books, I'm sure they are excellent.

TGPRG is the only book I have. I usually feel like it's the only one I need.

For me its "The Guitar Handbook" by Ralph Denyer. Lotsa great info to include scale charts, chord charts, set up info (sound & guitar) recording info, and tons of great articles on guitars and the players who play them. My bible.

The Dan Erlewine book is highly regarded and would be my suggestion. Even if you don't attempt the bulk of procedures, it's good reading and a great reference.

Before I saw his video I didn't know what I didn't know and thought I could do it all. Now I know that I don't know a lot!

A lot of famous musicians use his services so I'm sure the books will be a great resource.
