I got out of the shower this morning and see heavy precipitation streaming by sideways. There was 3/4ths inch of snow on my car outside my office in Kenner, and the frozen precip stayed on the car in the parking garage downtown all day, which trapped large amounts of cypress needles all over the car finish. Which the parking attendant could NOT figure out.

But the roads were passable because the temperature got to 32 but never much below, at least here. Plenty of snowmen built in Baton Rouge, I hear.

And yet the best this day was one of the finest sunsets I've ever seen. A thin band of blonde and of peach, and above that a green blue sky with slate blue scudders moving very fast to the south-southeast and being torn to shreds by turbulence. Just like a real living Van Gogh.

-Well, the local idiots once again forgot how to drive in snow and ice. I picked up my little nephew to stay the weekend and on the way home, he lives about 25-30 minutes away, we passed 5 wrecks. Three of them already happened and we saw two in action. One of the morons went past me doing the posted limit while I was in the right lane with most others driving around 40-45 mph. Not even two minutes after he passed us, we passed him back while he was facing south in the north bound lane. Luckily he was up against the guardrail and off the side of the road. Like I said, IDIOTS!!

L8R,
Matt

I had a friend come from a business trip in Austin Wed. He said he went into a building when it was 70 degrees out and four hours later it was 34 with a 40mi/hr wind.
