The Bestest Valentine's Day Gift I Ever Gave My Wife

:D Mornin' Forum : )

I had been working on this song for awhile. I wrote it for my wife of 20 years, Renee and to tell you the truth, it took 20 years to get it right. I gave it to her as a Valentine's Day gift. (The best Valentine's Day we've ever had) I just wanted to share this song with the forum and as usual, please voice comments. I am really listening to everything you guys suggest and I hope improvements can be heard in each subsequent recording.

The song is called, "Your Name............" and I think it's the best thing I've done to date. Please take a listen and tell me what you think...again. And if you've ever been with anyone for awhile, you will truly understand the words and the sentiment. Here's the URL:

And fellas, if you haven't done it yet, write your wife a love song. It will surely spice up your life.

Oh man, the internet filter in my company computer doesn't allow me to download mp3's or any other similar type of file.

However, I read the lyrics and I think they're great!

I'm on the road, so I won't be able to listen to it until next week at home, but I will. I'm sending the link to my wife to see what she thinks....

BTW, my wife always complains that I've never written a song for her. I don't know why, but I've tried a couple of times and I just can't. I guess that's because most my stuff is kinda sad or melancholic...Too much Radio Head and The Cure maybe???

I've never been able to write a song about me being happy!!! So I tell my wife "I'm too happy with you. I can't write a song for you until you get rid of me..." She doesn't find that amusing at all....

Cheers!

Excellent song

Nice song. Love the smooth and mellow feel. You got a great voice too. I wish I had a voice as solid as yours.

My wife and I will celebrate our 20th anniverssary on Feb 29. That's right, leap year!

Well Mr. M...

now I'm in trouble....

My wife just sent me an email, which I'll translate here...

"Love the song. Very romantic and mellow....The guitar sounds great and my favorite part was the solo. But what really impressed me the most was his voice!!! His wife is very lucky. You never write anything for me....."...you guys really don't need to know the rest....

There you go! I trust my wife's taste....hey!, she married me...

I promise that as soon as I get home next week, I'll hear it.
