MNF: Skins vs. Steelers

Well I didn't see a thread on it so I thought I would start it. Who do you see winnin' it? I have picked every game right for my skins so far this year and I have them beatin' the Steelers tonight as well. I think it will be a good game but I think the Skins will come ready to play and bring the same heat that they brought to Dallas. Don't get me wrong, this will be the biggest challenge they have seen since week1. Unfortunately I have to miss the first hour sitting in class discussing Said's Orientalism...bad timing!

I'm getting ready to go watch the game, hoping for the best for my 'Skins!

Cheers, Tim

-Hopefully my Steelers pull their heads outta their butts and start playing. But I'm getting ready for a good game. As long as Ben avoids the sacks. He's been on his back more than a $2 hooker lately!

Matt

Hail To The Redskins

I don't know, I'm a little worried about this one.

A lot of the Skins best players are either out or pretty banged up right now (including Portis and Moss their 2 biggest offensive threats). Also, they haven't played a good team in a while and have been playing down to the level of their opponents the last few weeks. I hope they can bring their "A" game tonight.

It should be a pretty brutal low-scoring defensive battle. It's a huge game for both teams.

My fantasy team could really use a big game from Santonio Holmes.

I'm a Steelers guy myself.
Ben needs better protection.

The Pittsburgh offensive line is the NFL's worst at pass protection the past two years. Big Ben is getting sacked on 11.5% of his pass attempts. Fortunately for Pittsburgh, Washington has a weak pass rush, ranking 30th in sacks per pass attempt this season.

I will pick Pittsburgh by 2 points.

Considering how well Leftwich played, I wish Ben's shoulder had been all right!

The Redskins passing offense is getting pretty offensive...

Hopefully, the bye week will help!

Cheers, Tim

ps- congrats, Steelers fans!

Haha well I couldn't agree with you more if we are talking about the same reason however I am Redskins fan first, American second...haha j/k...kinda

Oh well on tonight. Not the outcome I wanted but they still aren't doing bad for a rebuilding year with a new coach.

-Man was that a good game! I'm not talking about the final score, but both defenses were just smacking each other. That's what I love to see in a game, not both teams lighting up the fields with 40 plus points. Thankfully for me, the Steelers started clicking better after the half. Ben reaggravated the shoulder he had the slight separation in during that QB sneak for the TD. Leftwich came in and took control of things. That's what's been good about the Steelers. Whenever someone goes out, the backups come in and keep the flow going. No slacking off.

L8R,
Matt

And for an away game, the Steelers certainly had a great showing of support from the fans.

The only time the [Washington NFL team] was able to score was when the Steelers gave them gifts - the on-sides kick and the interception. So, the Washington offense was actually able to score zero points.

If an NFL team can't score one point on its own in an entire game ... that's pretty sad.
