Los Angelenos, a request...

My nephew had a moment of clarity this summer, on the occasion of his 23rd birthday, and quit his talented but dysfunctional band to go back to school.

He went back to his earlier plan to go to film school (he did some cool work while in high school), and as he also wanted/needed a change of scenery from the brain-dead rural/coastal/tourist trap place that is here (damn, I guess I do, too, but that'd be a different thread!), he went cross-country to the Left Coast.

He's rooming with a friend in Venice Beach, gonna start up at Santa Monica College next year (planning on eventually transferring into the film program at UCLA), and, well, he's looking for work. He's a damn good drummer, an experienced waiter, has done interior trim carpentry (mostly closet systems and door hardware), and he's a smart, funny and GOOD kid.

Any help getting him a decent job, or at least some lucrative work, would be deeply appreciated by me!

PM me if you can help or have suggestions.

Thanks again,

Tim
