The Legendary Blues Cruise Thread

Awright!!! My wife and I are pre-registered for the Oct 17-24, 2009 Cruise. I'm psyched. Some drummer friends of mine do this cruise, one played with the Everly Bros. and the other with Smokin Joe Kubek and is also good friends with Doyle Bramhall Sr. and Tommy Castro. I'm going to bring an Acoustic and Electric guitar. Hope to possibly see/meet some fellow TDPRI Bros. Has anyone else either played professionally or attended one of these cruises? Pete Bradt, KBR & Tremo any of you guys do this?

Cool. Who is booked to play? Which drummer do you know that played with SJK? And where does the cruise leave from and go to?

Hey, BB (haha), Dave K played with him for about the last year and a half an is on JK's latest CD. He lives here in San Diego, which is where the Cruise departs from. It cruises the Mexican Riviera. Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, & La Paz. The bands aren't announced yet. My drummer friend Al got to jam with Elvin Bishop amongst other pros. The lineup is supposed to go online in November. Between those two drummers, I should be well connected to some great bass players and keyboardists.

Is the blues alive? Why, goodness me, didn't even know it was down with anything. Should we send flowers or something?

Sure am glad the issue isn't in doubt at all down here in Bluesland!
