Dang, did I miss the USC bashing thread?

On Thursday night I was surfing the radio waves and came upon a discussion of Oregon State vs. USC on ESPN. I sat there for a few minutes not really knowing what they were talking about because I heard USC was down by 21 at the half. What!!?? That caught my attention and I soon realized it was the half-time show. Huh? Are they playing now? I turned on the TV just at the start of the 3rd quarter and stayed till the end.

Just goes to show you what can happen on any given day.

LSU plays Mississippi State tonight and even though we're a 24 point favorite we have to play them like they're Georgia or Florida.

That one loss by USC has sent ripples throughout the SEC and I think they'll all play with more intensity.

Geaux Tigers!

Happens every year.

Some team is hyped during the pre-season as maybe the greatest team ever … could play an NFL team … will go undefeated … all opponents are huge underdogs, etc. etc.

And ya know what always happens? They wind up falling on their -ss.

The pundits will never learn.

that's the beauty of college ball -- and the shame of a system that won't allow playoffs.

Howdy,

I wonder if the Portland paper had a headline which read: "Beavers unimpressed with Trojans"? ;)

Being a Buckeye fan, I have to keep my mouth shut. But I'm smiling on the inside.

How 'bout those Ole Miss Rebels?

There is nothing better than seeing a defeated Flardy Gater.

Howdy,

My teacher's aide has a grandson who played alot today at DE for the Rebels. I'll bet she's pleased as punch! Back on topic, U$C sure has the talent; can't understand why they couldn't grind OSU into little bitty Beaver meatballs..
