Harp Guys - Magic Dick Interview
Rekindled my enthusiasm for the J Geils Band recently.
Found this YouTube interview with Magic Dick. A longer interview is available as a download here. Adam Gussow has an excellent website on the harp. He also has instruction videos on YouTube. Jamie |

Interesting the guys in J Geils liked jazz.
I thought it was all classic R&B for their influences. jamie Magic Dick Homepage with bio, tour info, and links. |

Quite a few guys rebuilding modern harps back to the original designs.
Found Elk River Harps website interesting, and he reps for Seydel Harps. Until now, I haven't heard of Seydel. jamie Last edited by ne4tt; September 30th, 2008 at 07:25 PM. |

I've been watching Adam's videos since near the beginning but haven't spent the time on the harp. I'd recommend most of them to almost any musician, as it's about music structure, ear training and amplification as much as it is about specific harp songs. I learned "Watermelon Man" on organ on the strength of his "WM" harp tutorial.
