This thread about a Jazz duo gig got me to daydreamin'... if i had a once in a lifetime chance, who would i most like to play with in a guitar/vocalist setting ? i think it'd hafta be The Velvet Fog himself, Mel Torme....something about his voice and delivery just trips my trigger !

Johnny Hartman

It would be hard for any guitar/vocalist duo to beat Tuck and Patti.

For me it would be the King, as in Nat Cole. What a voice and chops on the ivories!

Probably Sofia Vergara.
Actually, I'm not even sure she can sing.
What was the question again?

Lots of good replies so far ...

If I had jazz chops, it'd be Joe Williams.

As I have nearly zero jazz chops, I'll go with Nick Lowe
