The strangest GAS I've ever had

I don't play metal, I don't usually listen to metal. I never gassed over a pointy monstrosity. But ever since I saw one in a catalog a few weeks ago, I'm gassing heavy....Ibanez Xiphos. Feeling kind of weird....

Yeah, it's all fun and games until somebody loses an eye.

(although I've known a few bassists that deserved impaling).

I for one totally get it! Can you say "UFO" or Scorpions? Shred rock has it's place, and those guys have been breaking sonic ground the last few decades.... Go for it!! :) I've been lusting after a korina & flying V :)

You mean 1001 different 'distortion' tones right ?

Sorry, but thats almost the equivalent to the guitar version of 'cookie monster vocals' isn't it ? (IMHO of course).

Derek S, get a new catalouge !!

Don't run across the stage with one of those, you really could lose an eye, or even a bandmate....

It's not my type, but it's lines are better than most shred head guitars I've seen. The "X" body's kind of cool.

I can see one of those points going through a speaker cone with one wrong turn on stage. Thats said, being an Ibanez it probably plays like a dream. I don't remember ever picking up an Ibanez that didn't play great.

The strangest GAS I've ever had

Oh, you mean G.A.S. ...

I had this mental image of an actual visible green cloud emitting from your posterior, that (oddly enough) smelled of lilacs.

You SHOULD feel wierd, and ashamed.
There's just no accounting for some folk's taste. Of course, I had a Gibson Corvus, that would rival that, so I understand completely.
