Economical/Green air conditioning help
Anybody know an efficient/environmentally way to cool a small building?
About 800 ft.su. And...quiet would be a real plus. It is a workshop/classroom. |

I don't think a swamp box will work in Pennsylvania -- too humid. We're doing our first summer in an eco-friendly, super well-insulated house and we're getting by just closing up the house at 10-11 in the morning and opening it back up in the evening, whenever it cools down. But even on a hot day here, it will get down into the 50s at night.
Your best bet might be just to insulate & ventilate, but throw a window unit in the mix for when you need it. |
