Need Guitar Inventory Template

Does anybody have a recommendation for keeping an inventory of your guitars and guitar gear? I'm looking for something that will let me keep track of some important aspects of my "Stuff'.
Cost (What did it cost)
Source (Pawn, guitar store, hand me down, gift)
Current value (What's it worth?)
Serial number (What is it and where is it located?)
Images - (Pictures)
Heir - (Who gets it?)
Where it is located (Who borrowed it?)

You know, a way to keep track and a possible tool for insurance or recovery in case of a disaster.

Prefer Free! Would consider an inexpensive one. Maybe Excel based.

ANYBODY solved this problem yet?

Thanks in advance. (I searched for one on the net and on the TDPRI board)

Sounds like an Excel Spreadsheet to me. I have one with a lot of that data, but not all of it. You can even draw a link to phtots.

Sounds like you have the template already.

In the first row list the things you want to track in separate columns as titles. Then start listing your equipment in rows below that. It's pretty easy to do in Excell. And easy to update or modify later by adding columns.

I made up one several years ago and have added to it as I wanted to keep track of different things.

remember to include fields relating to "current value" which give the date of the last valuation, and the source ie. a professional appraisal, listed selling prices for a similar instrument, blue-book reference, etc.
