Huge Knight fan here. I've done three shows with him in the last couple of years, super guy. Although very quiet and stand off-ish. Once you get to talk him a little though, what a personality.
I could not name a favorite song if my life depended on it, but I usually go back to "Rural Route", and I have a dear friend who's known me more than twenty years, who swears "It Ain't Easy Being Me" should be the theme song if they ever make a movie about my life. I also really love "William". It kills me, cause I grew up with that guy (figuratively), and got the call from his mama when he was killed in prison. We were both nineteen that year. He was a wonderful guy at his core, and bailed me out of trouble and fights more than once. I'm not religious, but his whole situation really put into perspective the old cliche "There but for the grace of God go I". Sixteen years later, I still think about him all the time.

I love Chris Knight. I've been playing "The Jealous Kind" everytime I pick up my acoustic for about 3 months straight. I discovered Chris by looking at the liner notes for Cross Canadian Ragweed's "Mission California" CD. I knew that Cody didn't write "Cry Lonely". It's the best song they've ever recorded.

I love "Rural Route", played it constantly after my dad passed, but I first heard Chris play "Down The River". It gave me goosebumps. Still does, as a matter of fact. He is currently my favorite singer/songwriter. My birthday present this year is a signed copy of his latest album, coming out at the end of August. I feel like a little kid waiting for Christmas morn.

Chris is a great guy and performer. I got to meet him when he came to town and played and acoustic show with Randy Rogers and Jason Boland. My favorite song of his has probably gotta be It Aint Easy Bein Me. Rural Route comes in at a close second though.

Amazing!
I've been a huge Chris Knight fan since I first saw him on TNN's Primetime Country. I remember it very specificly. It was 1996 right before his first CD came out. My first wife had just split and I was alone in our empty house and Gary Chapman introduced him as the next Johnny Cash. I was floored and as soon as the CD came out, it was all I listened to for the next year. I have all of his CD's and he is one of the most fantastic singer songwriters out there - EVER.
