Huge Knight fan here. I've done three shows with him in the last couple of years, super guy. Although very quiet and stand off-ish. Once you get to talk him a little though, what a personality.
I could not name a favorite song if my life depended on it, but I usually go back to "Rural Route", and I have a dear friend who's known me more than twenty years, who swears "It Ain't Easy Being Me" should be the theme song if they ever make a movie about my life. I also really love "William". It kills me, cause I grew up with that guy (figuratively), and got the call from his mama when he was killed in prison. We were both nineteen that year. He was a wonderful guy at his core, and bailed me out of trouble and fights more than once. I'm not religious, but his whole situation really put into perspective the old cliche "There but for the grace of God go I". Sixteen years later, I still think about him all the time.

Certainly, I was a big fan of the Brady Bunch!
Seriously, I had never heard of him but went to his website. Really good stuff. Dan

i saw him a few months back at dans silverleaf ( a bar in the closest "big town" and i got there real early the show was at ten i got there bout four. anyway. chris rolls in thay roll in and set up there gear and rehurse a little after thay get thu he comes up to me points to a chair cross the table and says anybody settin here. no. so he sets down and asks my name and i tell him adam but im known as billybob. i order him a beer yes i am underage but im well known round that bar.And we get to talkin he dident have much to say at first but then but then i ask some chords in down the river. he say hold on climbs on stage and grabs 2 of his takamines and hands me one. so he start playin and im tryin to keep up. he notices im struggling and slows down says how long u been playin i say about a year and then it turns almost into a acoustic lesson we pick and talk till bout 7:30 then the bar is starting to fill up. so we put up the guitars and part ways he calls me over right before the show give me a signed copy of all his cds a shirt and one of his picks. the during the show right before he does down the river he say this one goes out to my new buddy billybob oh and thanks for the beer. and people all aroud the bar are lookin at me thats why chris knight is my favorite singer/songwriter

I love Chris Knight. I've been playing "The Jealous Kind" everytime I pick up my acoustic for about 3 months straight. I discovered Chris by looking at the liner notes for Cross Canadian Ragweed's "Mission California" CD. I knew that Cody didn't write "Cry Lonely". It's the best song they've ever recorded.

I only heard of him a few weeks ago but now have 3 CDs. I like the track "Framed" and his "Enough Rope" album arrived in the mail today. Good sound.

I love "Rural Route", played it constantly after my dad passed, but I first heard Chris play "Down The River". It gave me goosebumps. Still does, as a matter of fact. He is currently my favorite singer/songwriter. My birthday present this year is a signed copy of his latest album, coming out at the end of August. I feel like a little kid waiting for Christmas morn.

Chris is a great guy and performer. I got to meet him when he came to town and played and acoustic show with Randy Rogers and Jason Boland. My favorite song of his has probably gotta be It Aint Easy Bein Me. Rural Route comes in at a close second though.

Amazing!
I've been a huge Chris Knight fan since I first saw him on TNN's Primetime Country. I remember it very specificly. It was 1996 right before his first CD came out. My first wife had just split and I was alone in our empty house and Gary Chapman introduced him as the next Johnny Cash. I was floored and as soon as the CD came out, it was all I listened to for the next year. I have all of his CD's and he is one of the most fantastic singer songwriters out there - EVER.

When I used to play shows. I'd find myself playing 3 or 4 Chris Knight songs in a row. He is my favorite song writer of all time. I made a top 10 list of his youtube videos. Let me know if I should replace one with another.

I'm in an acoustic duo called Rural Route...
We do a ton of Chris's songs! Framed House and 90 Acres RURAL ROUTE - dedicated to my mom and 2 brothers, both gone Becky's Bible Oil patch Town Cry Lonely Me and This Road Maria...rarely Run From Your Memory Bring the Harvest Home...rarely The Band Is Playing Too Slow...used to do this one as an intro to a tune Cry Lonely Leaving Souvenirs Might as well be a tribute band...haha Except I don't sound like Chris at all.
