Easy song suggestions?

A couple other threads prompted me to ask you guys for help-

Here's the deal-
I agreed to play in a "radio station band" on a float in the Oktoberfest parade coming up on September 27th. We have radio stations with four formats: country, classic rock, oldies, current hits, and the idea is to play a song from each format... four songs would be more than plenty to insure nobody on the parade route will hear the same song twice (we'll be playing for a little over an hour).

We have these volunteers on the staff-
Me, lead singer/rhythm guitar, over 10 years experience playing on stage.
Player 2-rhythm guitar, lead singer for a country band for 3 years.
Player 3-bass player for a punk-rock band for 1 year - power thumper.
players 4&5-both play rhythm guitar and sing a little, no band experience.
Player 6-drummer in a band for four years (doesn't own drums anymore).
Several tambourine players and backup singers
Two other drummers, no band experience BUT they have drums.

Problems-
Everybody wants to borrow my guitars and amps, I'll deal with that.
Most everybody with experience is very rusty and nervous - I'm the only one that's gigged in the last year.
Nobody really plays lead, although I can handle some (but listening to our "singers" I can tell I'm gonna have to do most of the vocals).

So far-
We had one practice and I taught 'em "Bang A Gong" - it actually sounded pretty good, but it should give you an idea about how easy we need to keep the songs.

Soooooo-
Does anybody have a good suggestion or two for other songs? I tried to teach them "Last Time" because I can play the lead part... but it ain't gonna work (I can't sing it and play lead at the same time).
Please also tell me the chords for your suggestions.

Thanks much!!!

Something...anything...by Jimmy Buffett. Everybody can sing, 3 people can bang on tambourines, and you don't need a lead player. Teh people will all become parrotheads temporarily and love it.

so you've got classic rock covered with "Bang A Gong".

for the rest, i'd stay upbeat to make it fun and keep the energy level high

for Oldies i'd suggest "Ain't That A Shame" or "Jailhouse Rock"

Country: "All My Exes Live in Texas" or "Mama's Don't Let You Baby's Grow Up To Be Cowboys"

'Today's Hits': this is a tough one....how current do you have to be? should be something the crowd would be familiar with, but still easy enough for the band to learn...maybe "Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley or "Holiday" by Green Day
