Rush on Colbert report
http://www.comedycentral.com/colbert...dfetcherGoogle
Observations: - Kinda funny interview - Geddy's still in voice training - but still remembers the words to Tom Sawyer. - Colbert lamely interrupts end of song confirming his lack of cool - Tour delayed as it'll take three weeks to break down Pert's drum kit. - Lifeson's tone seems to be getting sucked by Barbie dolls poorly integrated into his pedalboard signal chain. Obviously not-true bypass Barbie models. Anyone check out the new album yet?

I thought you meant Rush Limbaugh!
I don't get out enough.

Yeah I was thinking it was the radio too, was wondering how long till it got zapped.
I think Colbert does better when he sticks to news/fake news stuff. Musicians and comedians aren't always a good mix on the stage on the same time.

Usually true but it was funny when the White Stripes were on the Daily Show and Jon Stewart said "this is the first time we've had a musical guest. Why is that" which was asked to the band...and Jack and Meg look at each other in a slight panic mode as if they were supposed to have an answer to the question.

I liked the question about influences, and whether they'd ever done a song that was so epic that by the time they were at the end they were being influenced by the beginning because it happened so much earlier in their career.

After this, there can be no doubt that RUSH rules the planet. Dig the little Neal Peart set up beside Geddy's keyboards. Trivia. Geddy's name is 'Gary'. Gary lee Weintraub. His Hungarian grandmother, with a thick accent used to pronounce it 'Geddy'. And it stuck.

Hah it was pretty great. I like that it continued into the NEXT NIGHT'S show! Epic! The next night he "woke up" from his slumber at his desk, and they were still playing the same song hahahaha. Brilliant.
I liked the bit about what they call their fans. |
