I'll be playing outdoors tonight and tomorrow night and it's gonna be a scorcher here in New York! Is the use of large fans for whimps!!?? Anyone going to lose some weight this weekend??

Yep, I will probably shed a few while gigging along the Susquehanna this afternoon. 5 - 7:30, right in the middle of the worst of it. Use the fan! I understand the owner of the restaurant bought us a fan this week. I will make good use of it.

What city/town? I have to kill some time in Williamsport this evening and wouldn't mind checking out some live music.

Way too far east. Good luck, and enjoy the fan.

As a side note, today I will test the theory that blues can't be played in the daytime or while wearing shorts. Two birds, one stone.

I figured it was a little too far Sean.

Elma IA tomorrow (Roundhouse Days)

Rain is forecast for both days.

Oh well, at least I still have my youth!

i played three shows last weekend....NJ saturday, york, PA on sunday, and white plains NY on Monday, lot's of driving and LOTS of waiting around in the heat. by the end of the tour the van smelled like a locker room!
this weekend is the same except closer to home so at least i can go home between gigs and get the smelly stage clothes out of the ride! i swear if it wasn't for the graces of DEODERANT no one would come near us!!

I sweated right through all my clothes at our Ocean City, Maryland gig today. But heck, we play outside every Saturday, so that's nothing new....

And yep, I use a big fan, wear shorts, and even wear sandals sometimes (cool Teva sport sandals), and yep, we play some blues, too.

They keep hiring us, so we must be doing SOMETHING right!!!

Cheers, Tim

Even Worse In A Suit And Tie!!!

My beautiful daughter Lauren got married in the backyard of our Nashville home this weekend on a sweltering evening. Temp. still in the 90's at 7:30pm.

One of her dreams has always been to have Brent play all the music for the wedding ceremony so of course he did - in a suit and tie. His brother Randy accompanied him. The music was absolutely beautiful as was the wedding. But it was also HOT!

There was a four piece band playing outside a hotel down on the boardwalk. They were in the shade and the guy was playing a Strat. They played a version of "Hideaway" then a girl did a song that wasn't blues. I wanted to keep riding so that's all I listened to.

It was sweltering hot today.
